Went racing with the Camaro and WON!

This last weekend was the second event for the Modern Muscle Car class I run at my local drag strip. Its a lot of fun and very competitive. Loads of Scat Pack and Hellcat Mopars, 5.0 Mustangs and a smattering of Camaro’s. Even have a SRT 300 and Chevy SS in the mix. I have a group of friends with late model muscle so we all get together each month and have a fun day of racing. Our group consists of 2 6th gen Camaro’s, 2 5th gen Camaro’s, SRT 300, Hellcat Challenger, 2 5.0 Mustangs and then who ever else shows up for the class that day.

It was a hot day and the cars were not liking the hot air and everyone lost a couple of tenths over the day. My 17 Camaro ran its best in qualifying and slowly dropped off through eliminations. Even with the drop off was able to work through the bracket and come home with gas money, plaque, and bragging rights till the next event.

8 speed auto, and its bracket racing using a sportsman tree.

no traction control, I have everything turned off when running my drag radials, I have run a couple test runs with it on and it pulls too much power out with the drag radials.

That I don’t know what it was, Woodburn’s elevation is roughly 200'. That day got to upper 80's low 90's and it felt pretty humid.
